The PlanetPoet Point System The point system is vital to optimizing the PlanetPoet experience. With the point system, a member if given the opportunity to earn rewards for participating, give rewards to those poets, whose work you admire; AND, position yourself to win cash awards for your poems.

As a Member, you will earn the following points: 

• 5 pts for every comment you make on a poem, poll, image, or forum topic
• 5 pts for each poll or forum topic you post
• 10 pts for each 'Poety Blog Review'
• 5 pts for each poem you post
• 10 pts for each member entry should you host a contest
• 5 pts for every person you invite to become a member, thru the site
• 50 pts for each of your invitees who becomes a member
• 100 pts for each poetry tutorial you submit, approved by admin

There are 3 levels of membership:

• FREE Standard Membership - includes profile, viewing and limited monthly poem submissions, polls, and forum topics
• PREMIUM Membership - $7.99 Monthly Includes, All Access.  Unlimited poem submissions, eligibilty for membership contests and site cash contests, eligibility for hosting contests, tutorial access.
• PATRON Membership - $99.00 1-time payment. Lifetime PREMIUM Membership PLUS: 2000 points
• DONATION of any amount is appreciated.

As a Member, you may advertise your poetry blog or a specific poem in the "Feature Poems" and "Author Spotlight" sections: 50 pts

As a PREMIUM Member, you may "host" contests:

• hosting a contest will cost 500 points, which is payable to contest winners on the day of results announcement. These points will be distributed to your contest winners.
• contest host will receive 10 points for each contestant entry
• contest winners will be rewarded as follows:

(MINIMUM)
1st place - 300 points

2nd place - 150 points

3rd place - 50 points

Honorable Mention awards will be at the discretion of the host.
