With lyrics, composed just for her,
he touched the loneliness inside
hidden beneath the facade of acceptability,
like a phoenix, she rose from the ashes of a false reality,
and simply became.
Previously protected by protecol,
pretentions vanished in a haze of beauty,
transcended now to where she belonged,
wrapped in a cocoon of calm and ecstacy,
in a place of complete communion.
He took her on a tour of herself,
a journey often traveled but never seen,
to wondrous heights that touch heavens,
and depths of serenity embraced by a learning soul,
holding her gaze, caressing her spirit.
New places, drifting like thoughts
that ride aloft on smiles of pleasure
fueled by nocturnal whispers,
preconceptions and barriers
disappeared like cast-off clothes
she stood in radiant honesty.
This troubadour who played a tune
on the strings of her heart,
began a delightful duet for two,
in the key of passion's sea
that finished as a solo,
total oneness,
in the key of love.
